FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly will I receive and when?
You will receive an initial gift box shortly after the order with a welcome letter and several surprises related to the story. Then you will receive two letters per month—about 1,200 to 1,800 words total per letter—written in the voice of the story’s characters. Each envelope includes a small insert such as a recipe, sketch, note, or period detail to enhance the experience. Letters will be sent around the beginning and middle of the calendar month.
Are these the original classics?
Yes, every series is based on works in the public domain, adapted into fresh correspondence that preserves the spirit, language, and moral tension of the original while making it accessible to modern readers.
How long is each story?
Each series unfolds over twelve months (24 letters total). You can join at any time—your subscription begins with Letter One and follows the full narrative arc.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. At checkout, you will be able to designate an address for the gift recipient and we will send it to them while billing you.
How are the letters made?
Every element is designed, printed, and assembled by hand in Salt Lake City, Utah, using archival paper and envelopes chosen to evoke the story’s historical era.
Do I need to read in order?
Yes, each letter continues the story chronologically. You can store them in a keepsake box or binder to reread later as a complete novella.
